Skip Staples first became interested in music when Elvis arrived in 1956 and he has played and performed consistently ever since then. Skip’s influences include folk, country, bluegrass, R&B, and rock and roll. Skip often writes personal songs that include humor or irony and tell a story. He has completed several recordings including his own CD and performs regularly with local groups such as the Hot Rod Boys and the Twisted Pair in addition to performances with other Danbury Songwriters.
Skip has also served as the lead energy source behind The Danbury Songwriters since before its inception as producer of live music events throughout the community of Danbury and Hanging Rock for many years.
